In Chartered: Building Amsterdam bouw je pakhuizen om handelsondernemingen op te richten. Gedurende het spel kun je aandelen in deze bedrijven kopen. Naarmate je de bedrijven uitbreidt, groeit hun waarde. Aan het einde van het spel wordt de waarde van al je aandelen samen met je contanten gebruikt om te bepalen welke koopman de rijkste is en daarmee de winnaar van het spel.

Amid this flurry of trade, you and your fellow merchants strive for economic greatness. You build warehouses throughout the city. You expand chartered companies that you’ve invested in. All the while using your wits to outsmart your competition, growing faster and larger than ever before. You have but one goal in this struggle: become the wealthiest merchant of Amsterdam.
